Science
Cassie was born in Toronto, Canada and has lived in Colorado since she was 5 years old. She graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology at the University of Colorado Denver. She worked all sorts of jobs like being a research assistant in a Neuroscience lab working with rats, a phlebotomist for a blood donation center, a medical billing accountant and decided to move to Portlant, Oregon to pursue her Master's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Oregon Health and Science University. While she was there, she volunteered for Girl's Inc. working with middle school girls after school on computer science. She decided she would finally pursue a long time goal of becoming a teacher, and attended MSU for her teaching license; she loves teaching Chem at William Smith and her roles as the D&D sponsor and Unified coach with Crossroads. Cassie loves reading, paddle boarding, and watching / talking about scary movies. She is passionate about traveling and trying new types of food (and is honored when her students bring her treats). She is trying to learn to crochet, speak Spanish, and become more fluent again in her first language, Italian. She is a mom to a lovely old dog named Stevie.
