Julie Thigpen, RN, BSN, NCSN
I was raised in Jacksonville Florida and received my BSN from the University of North Florida. After graduating I worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for 3 years then started working as a school nurse and this is my 25th year working in APS. I am passionate about working with students and their families and my goal each day is to help students feel safe and healthy at school so they are able to focus in the classroom and achieve their goals. I have also been a runner since high school and I am the assistant Cross Country coach at Vista Peak Preparatory.
My husband and I have been married for 26 years and we have 2 children and 2 goldendoodle dogs. Our family loves spending time outdoors exploring the beautiful nature of Colorado and we are also huge Bronco and Nuggets fans.
